We (and I mean me here) sometimes get caught up in getting every ounce of information or drops of juice because we think that having more means we are better off. And sometiems what we really needs requires us to have some kind of space in your hands.
“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[b] a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
He left the 99 at a safe place. Don't feel neglected or alone. Sometimes we are serving God and it feels like nothing is happening. You are safe and protected. You are provided for. Count your blessings. Sometimes we don't realize what we have and complain about what we do not have.
This was actually a women's bible study that I watched with a few friends. I so related to some of the things that Dr Jackie Greene spoke about. When I first watched it, I thought about how easy it is for us to submit to or allow our emotions to control how we act, when we act and how we do things. Even if our emotions chnage three times in an hour, we allow that to steer us in whichever direction it pleases.
