INTRODUCTION: She Went and She Conquered

Thank you guys so much for clicking on to this blog. Many of you may not even know me personally, but for whatever reason, you are here to hop on this journey with me into adulthood and basking more and more into the presence of God. Starting this blog is one of the many steps that God strategically planned for me in my #Vision2020, and I am so blessed to have finally come out of my shell and be confident enough to post my blogs and thoughts publicly to give honor and glory to His name. And although practically the whole world has given up on 2020, I must confess from now *places hands up so that y’all don’t shoot my anointed hands for ministry*, it was still one of the best years of my life and we only in July, so let’s just give God a praise break…

One of the first things you should know about me, is that I LOVE books. And I mean, if you want to gift me something for my birthday (everyday of the year, let me tell you that from now), the ‘only’ thing that you should think of is B with 2 O’s and KS. I always have been drawn to learning and just spending quality time in silence. I know a lot of humans have not grasped the art of solitude, but it is something that I thank God He gifted me with – the world of thought and imagination.I am a devoted Christian who loves spreading love in a world that oftentimes doesn’t remember how to ‘Be Kind‘. Although we have come a long way, there still is a lot to do as it relates to us having individuals portraying human sensitivity for one another.As much as I know more than 95% of the world are suckers for music, I must admit, I am not one as I used to be. I’ll tell you why in a storytime. But, that doesn’t stop me from knowing what’s being played on the radio. At the moment, though, (as in while I‘m typing this. Well, maybe not, but they came to mind) I am listening to Jesus Culture. Yes, you can officially add me to your Shazam list !! (Check out my Instagram Post on a little experience I had on Shazam). My favourite song to listen to while I prepare for bed is currently “Yeshua“. I actually got that song from a friend of mine who (by the way, you need friends who will recommend excellent worship music to you, I promise you, life gets better with them) recommended it to me. And I know what you are thinking, I would LOVE to hear what your night routine is like. I always love seeing how our personalities show up in little areas of our lives. It’s one of those little things that we see God’s blueprint in, you know? I must also mention that I am an avid learner of the arts. I love anything that has to do with creating. Yes. That’s a part of what inspired my social media name. (Another storytime to note. Y’all better be ready). I love trying out new things in that sector and just seeing how much potential I have after trying and putting myself out there. So, if you are like that, can we uhmm, be friends? Okay great.

SIDENOTE: I am planning on starting a group for young creatives. That includes anyone that does ANYTHING that pays them, or as their hobbies, or just favors for friends. So yes, I am calling YOU !! It’s 2020 baby!! Put yourself out there. Be proud of what you are so naturally good at. Market yourself. Create a brand and get yourself in the right places with the right people. Or maybe, you just want the experience of learning from those in the same industry as you that are a step higher than you, you too can come and have the experience of a lifetime. Remember that we are all students and we are all teachers. Life is the ultimate test, and if we can help each other, we can all come out as our personal best. So if you draw, take photographs, mold with clay, express through drama or acting, create master designs for fashion, or lay them edges, you are welcome to join the group. No prerequisites required.

As I was reflecting on what to write in my introduction, I was thinking of the fact that this blog alone is a HUGE step for me, as I am no longer a “Status” poster or a “good note-taker who occasionally places them in her journals”, but I am now publicly showing pages of my mind that God has blessed me with to help build the relationship that I can have with Him and just pour love, peace, wisdom and knowledge into the hearts of others all around the world. To see my love for God, the English language, people and expression all on one page, it truly is an empowering moment.I hope you all know that I could not have done this without the support of some remarkable people that God has placed in my life. I want to thank you guys so much for believing in me and what I stand for as a Woman of God. This also goes to those who are starting with me today, and for those of you who may be reading this 5 years from now. I love you all so much and pray God’s richest blessings on your life even now. Yes, my heart goes out to you in my thoughts and actions every single day and as I am here to serve you, I hope you see that your life CAN and WILL get better than this. My prayer for you while we go through this journey together, is that you learn from me, as I you, and you continue to pursue purpose regardless of what life throws at you.
