RECOMMENDATION: Every Christian Girls Must Haves

This blog post is in recognition of today being International Day of the Girl Child that started in 2011, to recognize girls‘ rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world. Some extracted from UN website.

One thing that I know for sure is that there is a complete section of Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest for Christian girls to know all the things we need to keep our faith exciting, creative and personal with God.

I believe because of my own experiences.

I have a deep love for people who really think about what they need to get into a closer relationship with God. One thing that I advise is that we don’t get to caught up in the acts and it becomes a ritual and not for intimacy with Christ.

It once caught me. I only did Christian things because it was what I was “supposed to do” rather than doing it because I loved it and I love God.

Christian Girls Needs

  • Personal Bible

First things first, to know God, you need to know how He operates and to do that you need to know His Word. Books by Max Lucado and Joyce Meyer are great, but they will never substitute or sustain your heart’s desires like the Word of God.

  • Preferred Stationary

If you love the pastel colours, or you love the calligraphy side of life (you personally my bestie), or you prefer simple is better, get you stationary that is to your liking. You’ll need to take notes. In church, in youth groups, in bible study with your church or friends or YouTube. If you a highlighter gal, you’ll need some for your Bible verse that you don’t want to forget or you want to pop out at you when you open that Bible.

  • Notebookssssss

I know yall dont like hearing about books if it ain’t important cause it reminds you of school, but hear me out. For those that retain information better when writing or “feeling” their notes, you need to get yourself a book for your church notes and sermons, and one for your personal bible study. This is the beginner list. Y’all know I have a notebook for everything chilee, we will do a blog on that another day. But seriously, get serious about noting information that is being sent your way. NO YOU NOT GONE REMEMBER. Write it down, respectfully.

  • Prayer Journal

First, this Prayer Journal literally is AMAZING. You can purchase it here. The reason I added this is that during a really difficult time, I asked the Holy Spirit what I could do to still spend time with Him intimately even with the chaos happening around me (AKA my always active household). Clear as day in my fasting, He said, “Write your prayers down”. It caught me in my tracks because I was writing prayers occasionally, but I stopped because I wanted to speak too. I wanted to walk back and forth for hours, talking to God and listening to Him, too. But when I heard that, I knew… there is something that happens when you write those prayers down. I haven’t put that pen down since.

  • Dear Future Husband Journal

Now I know what some of you are thinking. “Not all of us are going to get married”. As women, many won’t admit but we need to let off some steam. We need to tell someone about our day, how many kids we want… Lol, too far? But yeah. Some of us really need to express how our day was and in faith talk about things that we want in a man after God’s own heart because he will lead the family. Amen.

As usual, you know there are many more things that we can add to this list, but I’ll keep it short for today and see when we can add to this list another time. Until tomorrow, keep the girls around you safe and show them.
