TEA TIME WITH RUTHIE: CONFIDENCE IN WHO GOD IS

We often doubt God because we don’t have confidence in who He is or what He is known for. It’s like the team you support for football or the basketball player that you love, if someone was to ask you about them, you’ll know exactly why you love them. It’s the same thing with God.

Let’s learn to be more familiar with the ways of God so that we can have the confidence we need in Him. And in that way, we will have no reason to doubt Him and we will put our 100% trust in Him.

The LORD is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.

Psalm 27:1

1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

Psalm 46:1-3

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Revelation 22:13

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

Numbers 23:19

“This is what the LORD says— Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.

Isaiah 44:6

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9
