It is the first day of a new month which means we are expecting a lot or throwing some bad habits or memories out the window. For others, it may literally mean you’re in another month and you’re feeling far from God, but this time, it seems almost impossible to come out of that lonely feeling.
I found some verses that may very well be the reminder that gets you out. I do know what this feels like, and it is important for you to know that you are not alone, you never were and don’t fall victim to the lies of the enemy, no matter how real they seem. Also, the further you go, the more difficult it will seem to get out. Think of it like this, you fell into a ditch, with perhaps quicksand. There is a rope above you, but the longer you take to hold on to that rope, the more likely that you’re going down with that quicksand. Don’t let that happen to you. Don’t bury yourself too far, call for help. Ask a friend to pray for you, take up the bible, get back to praying, start worshipping again. It may be gradual, or it may be consistent then not, but do not give up!!
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
1 John 5:14
In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.
Psalms 18:6
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12: 9-10
Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint; heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony. My soul is in deep anguish. How long, Lord, how long?
Psalm 6:2–3
Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.
Psalm 37:7
