One thing that I know we all hear all the time, especially in the Caribbean is to watch the company that we keep. I remember while I was around the people that I was around when I was not functioning in my gifts and purpose, I was not at peace, I was the complete opposite of that. I know many of us can look back and say we are at a completely different space because we changed who we are around.
You produce based on the nutrients you are given from the soil you’re planted in.
When was the last time you had a friend that pulled you out of your comfort zone? And it can be anything really.
Did they shift you out of being an inconsistent Christian or did they push you to drink more water?
Are you being held accountable for your life, the things that you do and deeply desire? Do you have friends that will not allow you to isolate in depression and sadness?
How about the friend that pushed you to apply for that job opportunity that you didn’t think you were qualified for?
If you cannot identify with any of these, we have a problem. If you do, that’s excellent.
Sometimes even your very belief in yourself and the desires that you have for yourself is heightened because you are surrounded by people who have no thought of limitations. They are vision oriented and they PUSH you out of wherever you are.
I know someone that being comfortable around them is not an option. He pushes everyone around him to grow, learn and develop. Do you have anyone around you like that?
After a while it is concerning if you don’t believe that you are created to do good works. I want you to think about that this week. “What is Good works?“
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10
Are your friends pushing you to do good works? Are you helping them to do good works? What are you up to?
You produce good fruit when you have the right people watering your seed. Have vision oriented people that will see the fruit even before the blossom.
