When I first thought of this topic, I actually had no clue what I was going to write about. At first I thought about doing living things and including both animals and plants, but then I realised that I couldn’t

I eventually thought about going to talking about things like animals or maybe plants but then I realised that I could use animals because that is something that I love and always cared about.

In a previous blog, I mentioned my love for animals when talking about my childhood television series.

There are a few verses that came to mind when I thought of animals…

The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.

Genesis 2:15 ESV

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.

Matthew 10:29 ESV

And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Genesis 1:28 ESV

Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Matthew 6:26 ESV

You may be wondering why I added the two verses from Matthew, but you should know by now that I never do things like this unless there is a message behind it for all of us.

I put those verses there to remind us that we are valuable. We are of importance to God. He wants to remind you that He takes care of the birds of the air, the fish of the sea. His ROYAL PRIESTHOOD then must be taken care of. What do you think? What more will He do for you? Animals don’t even worry about tomorrow. They are so resourceful too, how resourceful are you? How is your heart posture? Do you have gratitude? Most animals are known to function in groups or packs, are you going to allow the Holy Spirit on your team?

Think on these things!!

Dolphins

Firstly, why not? I love dolphins, they seem so cheerful. I think I fell in love with them when I learnt about the little teeth they have. At that time of my life, I was having a new tooth or two hurting my gums, which by the way, was a difficult transition for me. I’m seeing myself cry as we speak…

Manatee

So I didn’t know these existed until I was at school and some people came to teach us about them. I think at the time there were threats of them being extinct and they wanted us to know as much as possible about them. I remember the shirts, games and fun facts we learnt that day. I loved that we learnt how peaceful they are.

Koala

Why not? No I have never met them but have you seen how adorable they are? Yes, don’t judge… lest you be judged of course!! The pronunciation of their name is fascinating to me, you can’t change my mind. What other animal comes to mind when you think of koala bears?

Nightingale

A bird, that can sing… Do I even need to say anything else? I think we can wrap this up… Okay fine. So I just do. Similar to when people just have a love for parrots or pistachio ice-cream. I love the idea of a singing bird. This might be illegal in some id not all countries but can you have a nightingale as a pet in your country? If so, see you there!!!

Be blessed.
