I just want to take this opportunity to remind you about the verses for this week. It is about the plans you have for your future. You don’t want to miss this!!
We are in the month of April which means that it’s POETRY MONTH!! I am so excited that I get to hear from all of the talented writers out there. Don’t worry about being perfect, that’s exactly what this is for. You want to learn, be more confident in your craft and PRACTISE!
Why Poetry Month?
Poetry Month is a time to discuss the art form, debate it, and learn from the poets of the past. All of this while inspiring younger generations to create the poetry that allows them to express themselves and their experiences.

I’m no expert in poetry but I love to learn more and more about it. I thought that this would be a great opportunity for us to get more familiar with each other and learn more about you.
When you guys send in your submissions, it allows everyone to be exposed to more poetry, more reading and more learning.
There will be no panel of judges this year, just the votes on social media. The deadline to send in your piece is on the 25th.
The top five entries with the most likes on YouTube combined automatically get a feature on the blog by the end of the month.
I’m really excited to see what you guys come up with.
Oh, and the purpose is to get some of you writers from behind your paper a bit. That’s the goal for this year. You’ll submit a digital written version through the email address, but you will be voted based on the LIKES for your video. Any type of poetry is allowed.
Open to all countries and there is no age restriction.
I’ll be adding a reminder at the top of each blog until the deadline, so don’t worry about forgetting about it. I’ll also post it on Instagram so that you remember and can invite friends.
