Letter To Those Who: Need To Believe In Themself

In my devotions, I was brought to a scripture that I want to share with you guys.

Mark 9:23

Jesus said to him, “If you believe, all things are possible to him who beleieves”

NLT

When I read this verse I thought of you. I thought of the moments that you were your only limit. Those moments that the real reason you are not where you need to be or where God has called you to be solely is because you did not believe.

Something that my mentor taught me is that it all starts in the mind. If you don’t think it, how will the rest of the world?

I tell people all the time, and my dad has told me a few times as well, the world won’t hop on to what you want to do until you believe in it enough to actually do it. They can’t believe in something they don’t see. It’s in your mind, get it out.

How many times have you missed opportunities because you thought you weren’t wise enough or cute enough?

Did you really miss trying out for the team because you don’t meet the standard that someone who has never played the sport put over you?

Think about it. How many times have you actually missed a chance to be who you were called to be because you didn’t believe? Sometimes even those around you can see it clearly and it’s as if you’re looking in a broken mirror…

I remind myself daily that God does not make any mistakes so forget about that time your parent/Guardian left you at school because they forgot to pick you up. Forget about that time your friend didn’t remember to tell you happy birthday and they spent the whole day with or talking to you.

All of that? Not God. I know, perfect exists in Him.

You need to believe in you as much as He does, and let me tell you, He sent His son to die for you, so I’d say He has no problem spending a coin or two on you. He has no problem doing it for you. He has to believe in you for you to even be given another chance and life right now.

So I want you to think about what you do believe and what you don’t. Is your unbelief your limit?

You really need to tap in to what you dream of. A church leader told me once that, “if you can picture what you’re dreaming about, it’s too small.”

I took that and ran with it.

“There is no limit in [me] because God lives in me and He has no limits.” Do you believe that? I hope you do because I can’t convince you. You have to believe it for yourself. So take this thought and PLANT IT.

Change the world with your belief. Start in your mind. Believe it.
