LETTER TO THOSE WHO: Forgot To Be Goal Oriented

We’re coming to the end of the month and that means that we are more than a foot in 2021. A friend of mine calls me the human reminder because I am always reminding them of things they said they were going to do and plans they made and remind them to complete it.

I saw a Pin on Pinterest and thought that it was about time I just remind you of the plans that you had for this year and just ask you, politely of course, when you plan on looking back on them and bringing them to completion?

And believe me, it’s okay if the book or app you wrote them in is covered in dirt and cob webs but this is why only you know what I’m talking about.

Sometimes you just need to not let procrastination win today. I was watching a YouTube video and the YouTuber was asked how they keep motivated and not procrastinate, and she said something very important. She knows why she has to do this and she is the one that has to get it done.

You cannot have a goal and expect it to come through. You cannot be sharing your goals with others and it ends there, as the friend, that is embarrassing. Get up and go do what you want, even if no one believes in you but you and God.

I pray that you don’t have to wait on motivation but that you have discipline to complete your passions for this year and that you actually feel joy while doing it.

A verse that I remind people about when it comes to goals and visions and just things that they want to accomplish, which by the way, they matter big or small, is that there is power in writing them down and looking on them each day. Have them in the back of your mind.

I was talking to a friend this week about acting, dressing and talking like the best version of your self. That version that you envision for yourself that of course God has written down for you. Start acting like it. I say this with confidence, no one’s best self has procrastination and fear attached to it. I believe that wholeheartedly.

So, are you going to pull up that list again and stop complaining about where you are and how “bored” you are?
