GRATITUDE JOURNAL: Series From My Childhood I Am Grateful For Part 2

Yes, to all the new subscribers this is a part two but don’t worry. It’ll be a secret between just us. For those that missed out on a fantastic Part 1, head on over there and get yourself up to date.

To others, that first post was not a big deal, but for me, it changed my whole life and my understanding of the importance of what you allow to feed you affects YOU.

I had a whole list planned for the first blog. I had no intention of it being split but when I got to number 3, I was in tears just reflecting on those very vulnerable moments that I remembered scenes from these shows or bible verse songs that they had stuck in my head.

PS// I am not ashamed to say they still are to this day and I have playlists that could last a lifetime‼‼

1. iShine Knect

If there is one thing I am grateful for when it comes to this series, it would definitely be the support and joy of knowing that being a Christian pre-teen and teen was not necessarily the easiest thing, but these kids were the same age as me and they were doing everything to the glory of God. It was also where I met Jamie Grace and if you don’t know, you should Google her right now and read my blog about my recommended podcasts. I grew up with the cast and just the growth of the ministry and so it was just really the perfect time for me. Also, my mom made me stay up and watch it without my sisters because they were underage for a while, I felt so good.

2. Gina D’s Kids Club

Besides my parents of course, I was taught humility, the value of friendship and the beauty of generosity and creativity from this show. I remember always wanting to be just like Gina D because she was so caring and happy and wise. I know it’s a character but those traits are so valuable for any child to learn. I must say, their songs deserved Grammy awards!!

3. Animal Atlas

One may ask where my love for documentary and wildlife began. There is a high possibility that this film is the source of that love for nature. The narrator was one of the funniest guys I’ll ever “meet” and it was just so educational. I’m sure that a lot of what I know now about some animals came from this series and I was so grateful to learn. Yes, I love learning. Unorthodox for people my age? So I’ve heard.

I think this is a beautiful “three” trend. Leaves small bites and space for you guys to share with me some of your childhood favorites. Regardless of if it was a popular hit or not. Your show is your show!!!!

So let me know!! (See what I did there?)

Be blessed and be safe.

Song Suggestion: Elevation Worship – Give Me Faith (Evan Ford Cover)
