TEA TIME WITH RUTHIE: God Says, Then Acts

It is amazing how much more there is to learn about God!!! When I crossed this scripture, I had to share it with you guys and remind you, that we as believers shouldn’t even be shocked or surprised at things that God does. Why? Because He says, then acts!!

Surely the Lord God does nothing,
Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” – Amos 3:7

I’m not sure how many of us are familiar with the traits of God and how God operates, but one thing (well maybe one of many) is sure about God is that He keeps His promises to His people and He will inform them before it is done.

(Here is a catch up on Following In Jesus’ Footsteps).

When I first really reflected on this verse, something very specific came to mind…

God is not like man. We hear this all the time in our groups and in churches, but do we understand that God never leaves us out of anything He is about to do. Well, maybe I should say His children but let’s think about this for a second…

How many times have you stopped to tie your shoelace and your friends continued walking? Or maybe you were the classmate to always find out late about a class trip?

God does not forget us or even plan without us.

I often think about why then are so many believers unprepared for what comes. Yes, there are thousands of answers for that question, but I would advise you as I also advise me, don’t be out of the loop with God.

How about we keep up to date on His WhatsApp Status? How often are we even aware of His waring for us versus blessing time in our own lives? Many of us are not aware of what ACTION God is presently active in. We are unaware of the seasons and unaware of His signs.

Let’s Look Again…

Surely the Lord God does nothing,
Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” – Amos 3:7

Was there ever a season that you were not aware of that God was doing something? What was that feeling like? Woah, what about those that are even unaware of the season now and what God is doing as of this moment? How does that feel?

That is like being out of His presence. Let go of things that are DISTRACTING you from that knowledge of what God is doing. I hope you hear one of God’s secrets this week and are prepared in whichever way you need to be.

Keep Your Ears Open

From this day on, we will be removing the spiritual airpods or whatever you kids use these days, and we will be cleaning our ears to actively hear the promising acts of God. From here on out, we will not be deaf to the actions of God.

This verse, if we believe it, proves that God is not like man. His secrets are not even for Himself. His plans are “our plans.” His ways are never to leave us out of behind.

Have a great rest of day and I do hope you had your devotions and drank some tea.

Be blessed and be safe.
