TEA TIME WITH RUTHIE: Verses on Joy

There are countless verses that remind us to have joy, or “consider it pure joy” but this week, let us reflect on a verse each day to remind us that the joy of the Lord is our strength and that everything we need, He will supply.

Jesus didn’t run out in the joy department and therefore, we all should be full of joy. His joy, is yours. Accept it. Think of reasons you may need joy in this season. Have a joyous week!!

“You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.” – Acts 2:28

“When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, LORD God Almighty.” – Jeremiah 15:16

“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” – Psalm 16:11

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13

“Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” – Nehemiah 8:10

Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning. – Psalm 30:5b

“If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. ‘This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.’” – John 15:10-12
