Is it even a good week if we don’t spend some time reflecting on things we are grateful for?
I started a 30 Day of GRATITUDE with my friends and that has been an amazing experience. I totally recommend challenging yourself to do that.
So today let’s think about fruits that we’re grateful for. And, before you come for me, I know I mentioned lemon and oranges in the blog about foods I’m grateful for, but you have to understand, I really love those.
I should give one disclaimer, some of these fruits may be hated by a lot of you guys, but I still love them. Fruits deserve love too!!!
1. Cantaloupe

I know a lot of people actually do not like this for some reason. I am actually interested in finding out the name of this in other countries. I should go research that. But I absolutely love cantaloupes. I don’t even think it’s a fruit basket or salad if these babies are not in there. I said what I said, respectfully of course because why not.
2. Kiwi

I have never even thought about making kiwi sorbet until I saw this post but, this is another fruit that I know a lot of Jamaicans especially do not like. I absolutely love kiwi. When I was younger and my mom brought up fruit salads, I’d look forward to these.
3. Watermelon

Nothing is better than a sweet watermelon on a sunny day (every day in Jamaica). I love melons. Growing up ( still am, but you get the point) I tasted yellow watermelon and I thought, “what can’t a melon do?” I LOVED IT. Absolutely amazing. Lord, thank you!!

What are some fruits that you love that others don’t really fancy? Do you even like fruits? Have you ever tried making sorbets like I mentioned before?
I have a board on my Pinterest with foods I’m grateful for and I added a section for Sorbets if you’d like to try some 3 ingredient recipes.
