So you know that every week I try to publish one of my notes to keep both you and I encouraged. This actually was a sermon my dad did at the beginning of this year (I think) and I thought February was a good time to post it because it is after everyone sets their expectations for the year and they try to forget about the year before.
I hope this encourages you that God is definitely not done until He says, “and cut”.
MAIN TEXT: ROMANS 8:28-31

Ref: 1 Samuel 9:1-2, 10:1, 6-7, Luke 6:12-16, Job 1:6-7
Intro: Despite the temporary setbacks, God Planned around them, so manage your disappointments.
God has a way of working it out. So don’t worry about where you are and what its happening around you.
He will find a way to fit it into “His plan or purpose“, not yours or anyone else’s.
God has a master plan, so no matter what the devil comes with, at the end of the day you will just have to thank Jesus.
Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that God is never late. He is always on time.
Sometimes God is planning stuff that we are thinking is impossible. But there is no limit to God.
He wants us to manage our diappointments. Don’t let it beat you up.
If you look at it, there is no failure with God. So this means you can never fail.
Be still and know that He is God.
Give God place and space to work in you life.
Sometimes He chooses to wait, in a timely fashion.
He chose for a child to be formed at a certain time versus animals.
1. The anointed one
• God agreed to make Saul king
God chose a king for Israel that He knew wasn’t going to work.
David was appointed and when King Saul came to kill him, he said, “Do not touch the Lord’s anointed”.
•Yet He knew he would fail.
Do not fear failure.
God will be glorified in your shortness, blindness and sickness.
God Chose Saul. He chose a “failure”.
SAY THIS: God can make something out of me, He chose me. No matter what others say.
•Still He was with him.
God was with Saul, blessed and anointed him. He even used him. Despite the fact that he was out of purpose.
2. The hand-picked disciple
•Called and chosen
Judas was chosen by Jesus to be his disciple.
Then He chose him again to manage the finances.
•Places in charge of the money
•He sold out Jesus
Sometimes when I think of Judas I really wonder what Jesus was trying to show us here with friendship. Is it that we will have people who will betray us? Even those who didn’t have full access to us but to an area of our life? Because Judas wasn’t a part of Jesus’ inner circle, yet he had access to Jesus. Hmm. I am going to study that for a bit.
3. The Angel who led a rebellion
•Was created with purpose
God knew that Lucifer was going to fail.
•Gave him authority and responsibility.
Gave him authority.
•Took one third of the angels.
He rebelled and took 1/3 of the angels with him.
Because he wanted company.
All fallen angels were thrown in the Earth.
You may entertain angels unaware.
Sometimes we entertain fallen angels.
The enemy comes as an angel of light.
Not everybody is your friend, cause in no time, they are the one that lead you into rebellion.
Don’t be one to wait on God to call you. Or think that He knows if you going to serve or not.
You need to respond to those he foreknew. Is your ears in tune to when he called?
Sometimes God called you long before. You never receiced it.
4. Pre-destination.
•Created to be like him.
We are created to be like him.
We are all created to be great, its just that not all of us chose to be.
•We are Given Free will
He never forced you. He gave you the will. He trusts us.
It’s up to you to obey the call.
•The keys
He gave us the keys to the kingdom.
The execution of this will is very important. And yet he trusts you to give it to.
He is endangering his legacy and reputation is at risk when He chose you.
A risk, a gamble, to entrust to you the ministry of reconciliation.
Whoever sins against you, sins against heaven.
Whatever you bind on Earth, you bind in the heavenlies.
He chose us to minister to others.
Chose finish things to conform the wise.
He will confirm His word with miracles signs and wonders.
He is taking a risk with His own glory.
Don’t watch those fighting against you. There always will be.
Conclusion.
Irrespective of how the past month or year ended, God is still God. It is not the end until God says it’s over. It’s hot but manage your disappointments. As long as there is life, there is hope and as long as there is faith, there is hope.

I never thought about how Judas wasn’t allowed to get too close to him. He was not in the inner circle. God has a hedge around us to protect us from the enemy but He calls us to draw near to Him and promises to draw near to us.

Yes. That is true. He was never in the inner circle but still held an important part in the ministry.
