It really is interesting how many of us forget who we used to be. Do you remember what you were struggling with just last year or the year before? Are we still at the same place? If so, we need to pray because at no point should we remain the same place that we were even yesterday!
There must be some change and development that is evident in your life. With that said, you may have had some really difficult experiences especially if it was at a time when the enemy really didn’t want you to come out of that storm, so I wanted to just use this time to remind you that YOU ARE FREE!!!
We forget really. We forget that we are on the right side. We forget that God took us through one fight and so He’ll even take us through the one we are currently in.
I really wanted for you to think about it while you read, about that time you needed money for a trip that you needed to be at and it ended up working out. Maybe it was the time you had a very long season of feeling depressed or anxious and now you can proudly say that isn’t even something that you can attach to your nature.
Maybe, just maybe there was a physical environment that you felt creatively or spiritually trapped in and you no longer are there.
THAT IS FREEDOM!
And freedom once given from God cannot be taken back. So don’t be like the Children of Israel that wanted to go back to Egypt because of the fish, cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. (Numbers 11:5)
Do not go back into slavery because of the “benefits” that it gave you forgetting that your hands were tied. Do not sacrifice freedom for “good food treatment” or whatever it might be in your case.
It could be that you stay at your workplace because they upgrade your salary every 3 years but your boss is not the best.
It could be that you go to the same school because of it’s public reputation and recognition but you know that it really is not for you.
I’m just saying, freedom is a gift from God for everyone.
And, when you are free from anything, it means you don’t go back right? Have you ever gone back? What was that like? Did it benefit you?
Think some more on things that were the most difficult experiences and how you MADE IT.
You made it. You most definitely can make it through this one. Think about those times no one could see a way out, and by the looks of it, if you’re reading this now in a normal mental state, I’d say you made it out!!!
Congratulations dearest.
I also am thinking of those moments that we are free and we act as if we still are enslaved. I for one have seen it first hand. People who have been freed from prison sometimes still wait on someone to open the doors for them etc.
