TEA TIME WITH RUTHIE: Denying Self

This is a daily process that we as believers will do. I wanted for those who never were really exposed to what it looks like to have an idea of what denying self really looks like. I do hope this excerpt from something I did some time ago is still relevant. God bless.

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me”.

Galatians 2:20

Guys it is important to feed your spirit.

Galatians 5:16 tells us to walk in the spirit so we won’t fulfil the lust of the flesh.

These are things that you need to know ans should do in this season of learning to deny self.

✔ Ask God to make you more like Him.

✔ Do acts of kindness.

✔ Know the importance of self-less acts.

✔ Not because it benefits you, means you are a pro. In order to be considered one with the fruit of the spirit, you need to practice giving to others expecting nothing at all times.

✔ Focus on the characteristics of Christ today, and what He did for others. I don’t know, maybe giving up His life for us.

✔ Know that we are here and our lives should minister to non-believers. Regardless of where we are, we represent God always, everywhere.

✔ Practice living your life as the only Bible some persons around you will see or open, some maybe even will question you. #BeReady
