Hey there poetry lovers. Last Semester I was given an assignment to do from my writing club and I think I did pretty well for my first time. I plan on refreshing it in the future, but I need to start putting my work out there more often. I really would of course love the professionals to comment on how they think I could improve on this piece and of course, the rest of my creative work.
You can check out the original post on my InstaBlog.

Write a poem including the word ‘pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis’ three (3) times. No limit in words.

TITLE: 45 LETTERS, 19 SYLLABLES
Summer of 2019 was the day I wanted to erupt.
My nights were shallow and my days were the only things promising.
They named me Ulawun and on an island in Great Britain, my birthplace.
Father is what the locals call me and I think that boosts my ego.
Then came pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.
It was my time to erupt and I never fear any man,
But science always seems to want to be my best man.
Inhalation may be the best and worst that it can be.
Imagine fine particles defining what your future should be,
Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.
Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.
Fine ash and sand dust particles are what makes me a lung disease.
Oh, floccinaucinihilipilification.
Ulawun will never underestimate me again.
45 letters later and someone close has a lung disease, silicosis.
Now let's hope my behaviour 19 syllables later is not toxicosis.
