INTRODUCTION: We as Christians can have trees with a lot of leaves and no fruit. God doesn’t do that. Are you bearing fruit? Where is the fruit of your faith?
🌿How do we become fruitful?
The Bible says Abide in the vine.
1. No fruit… Reproduce.
– 🍎Physical fruit, figs etc
God created that Anything that is alive should bear fruit.
Christians should bear physical fruit. And also to bear fruit in other areas of our lives. Eg. In creativity.
What have you created recently? Reproduce the creativity that comes from God and is in you. God wants to see the fruit of your faith. Are you going to lay down and die or wake up and fuel that creativity? How do you reproduce in the drought? A pandemic is no excuse. This should be the best time of your life. Your faith is tested on the limb. Don’t allow the enemy to stop your faith. Watch God come through. There is something on the inside of you that you need to produce. Not only children.
– 📱Social fruit.
How about how you relate with others? How do you impact where you have been? Are you leaving a legacy? How many have you mentored or made disciples? How many are saved because of you? That is fruit. When last have you spoken to your neighbor about Christ and not gossip? Some of us are vocal people and god created us that way to bear fruit in the life of others. If it is hypothetical, it bears bad fruit. If fruit is fresh and plentiful, many will take from it. God says Bear MUCH fruit.
– 🙌Fruit of the spirit.
If you sow in the spirit, you bear in the spirit.
It is of the spirit so it will bear love, joy, peace etc.
Many church members will quote the verse about the fruit of the spirit and say that the evidence is that of the tongue, but it is not the only or most important one. It is a personal spiritual development and one-on-one communication with GGod. Spend time in prayer and nurture the spirit for more fruit. You leave things behind like envy etc. Let God speak through you. We say things that cut people because we “know where they are” and God Only Knows. Let this not be among us. Sometimes we should leave them alone. Some of us are one sided. Not bearing fruit or not lasting. All these fruits are also connected so one affects the other. Peter said the tongues are like clanging cymbals. (1 Corinthians 13:1)
2. To reproduce – Abide
– 🚵Stay in the course, remain in.
Whatsoever you ask of God, he will give you. He withholds nothing. To reproduce, you cannot run in and run out. Live in the presence with God. The church is in you, not the physical building. God is no coming back for a denomination or a building. You have to remain in him to make it. Don’t be like people that to about how they “used to read bible etc”. God is right now. Don’t focus on past or what is left behind. Don’t give up.
– 📖Word study, meditation.
While you are reading, you need to stay in the word. You don’t have to read the bible in a year, but focus on a verse or chapter.
– 🙏Prayer, special department.
Have a conversation with God. God speaks to us in a way that we understand. Will you abide in him? He has abided with you through the Holy Spirit. You have a piece of heaven inside of you. You must reproduce if you abide.
3. Got abide – must be attached
– 🔗Get attached, link up
Some people want to abide but they aren’t attached to the fruit. Don’t bear and stop, the vine went no where. Don’t blame God. Guess who moved? Abide in him and connect to him.
– 📐Re-attached if disconnected
If you are disconnected, you can recommit and reconnect. He is always ready. Remember he doesn’t need us to be God, but we need him.
– 📝Re-birth, adoption, commit
God has adopted you as his own and he can only do so with our consent.
📌CONCLUSION:
Let’s produce much more fruit and not just leaves that give the impression that you are a fruitful vine, but you are. We should be able to see the fruit of your faith. We should be full of testimonies. Sow to the spirit and bear the fruit of the spirit so others can reap from it.
